Dance for Life
This is an incredible opportunity for individuals with mobility issues to get back on the dance floor and find joy and exercise through music and motion. Kiki Bernas initiated this program in 2009 after extensive training with the Mark Norris Dance Group and the Brooklyn Parkinson Group. Patients and caregivers learn new ways to stimulate the mind, body and soul in a shared experience that, for many, brings them back to an entertainment they enjoyed together. Kiki has had great success with a wide variety of patients. Give it a try. You won’t regret it.

Creative Movement/Fitness
These exercise classes are conducted by Colleen Thurnherr at Danceability, Inc. Colleen introduces creative ways to generate movement and to practice range of motion, key components in battling PD. Though these are group classes, Colleen is experienced in identifying the needs of individuals and crafting movements that will assist them at their particular levels of motion. This is a tremendous way to exercise and to keep your body as limber and flexible as possible while also having some fun.
